Colourpop Kaepop Collection - Ultra Matte Lips
Colourpop products are something I hear being raved about all the time, in particular their Ultra Matte Lip products. These are great liquid lipsticks and they have pretty much every colour I could possibly imagine and want. They recently launched a collaboration with Karrueche Tran - Kaepop. I only managed to get part of the collection which was the 3 Ultra Matte Lip products - 'Chi', 'Kae' and 'Rooch'. She launched these along with some eyeshadows and cheek products.
Chi is described as a nude beige. It works great with natural makeup and compliments any daytime look. It has the best longevity and consistency out of all three shades. I experienced no flakiness/crumbling or any of the product transferring throughout the day. I feels like it has satin finish when on the lips and is very soft to touch. This was the least drying for me and also the most difficult to get off. I have noticed it is a great dupe for the Kylie Lip Kit in 'Dolce K'.
Kae is described as a yellow brown, this shade is probably my least favourite. This looks great with a nice gold smokey eye. This has the least longevity and consistency out of all three. I experienced the most flaking with this shade, it crumbled just a few minutes after application. Out of all 3 it the easiest to remove. As with Chi it was not terribly drying for me. This could also be considered a dupe for the Kylie Lip Kit in 'True Brown K' or Limecrime's Salem.
Described as a wine shade although on me it comes off as a deep berry colour. This shade is absolutely beautiful with plummy brown eyes and is the perfect lip colour for an evening look. It is my favourite shade of all three. Unfortunately it is also the most streakiest and it crumbled slightly after application. The longevity is not that great either. It began to flake on me after an hour or two after application.
All three are lovely shades, it would of been great if Rooch and Kae had the same consistency as Chi. One thing to expect when purchasing these is that you will be spending a little longer removing your makeup whenever you wear these. They can be a pain to get off but I guess that could also be considered a pro if your planning to wear them all day.
I would advise you to keep them close for re-application if needed - definitely with Kae. Please be careful when opening them as I accidentally spilled Chi everywhere when I first opened it.
Have you ever tried any Colourpop products? Do you have any of the Kaepop collection? Do any of the shades jump out at you? You know I love to hear what you have to say so please let me know in the comments.
